Mike Schiff - County Sherrif

       Michael Schiff is a life long resident of Sullivan County. He was born April 14, 1952. Mike and his wife Christine, have four children, Reia 13, Lila 10, Dara 5, and David 3. Mike is the son of David and Lila Schiff of Liberty, New York. Mike has two sisters Evilyn Garchik, and Jaqueline Schiff Parsells. His father, David Schiff, was a Judge in the Village of Liberty.

       Mike's mother, Lila, was a prominent teacher in the Liberty school district. His uncle Sydney was a Medical Doctor in Liberty, and served as Sullivan County Coroner. Mike attended Liberty public schools and graduated in 1970. He worked for New York State Electric and Gas (NYSEG), eventually becoming a lineman.
